2nd September 2015

Good news all round for Laptops members this month.  First up founder member Belinda O’Grady of SE20 Magazine who celebrates 10 successful years in business this November.  There will be a quiz to mark the occasion on Friday 13th November.

Congratulations also to Vicki Sims (and the team) at K and O Pest Control who are through to the finals of the Bromley Business Awards

It was also a round of applause for Jane Barnes who was delighted to announce that Bromley Mencap has been chosen as the nominated charity for Sainsbury’s in Beckenham.

Rachel Molina also had some very exciting news as a portrait from her 'Seen but Not Heard' project will go on display at the National Portrait Gallery in London as part of the Taylor Wessing Portrait Prize 2015.

Huge thanks this month to Jenni Hallam for her Top Tips on Time Management.  Jenni’s two hour workshop “Name” will run on 1st October.  Just another perk of being a Laptops member!

And if all that wasn’t enough, Image Consultant Denise from Damson Belle showed us an ingenious way to hang up our vest tops using a hanger and some shower curtain rings – pretty sure it could be adapted for other items #ingenious
Quote of the Month?

“Time is a human concept” Jenni Hallam gave us something useful to remember should we find ourselves stressing!

Two additional good reasons to be a Laptops member this month:

Our Summer Drinks event at The University Women's Club in Mayfair was a huge success.

Also, on 1st October Jenni Hallam will be running a two hour Time Management workshop called The Challenge of Time.  An absolute bargain for members at just £10.
