5th July 2017

It was a very summery vibe round the table, with beautiful sunshine outside and the folding doors open to let the warm weather in.  Unfortunately, the lorry drivers of Beckenham didn’t receive the memo about our desire for a Mediterranean moment; but luckily our 24 full voiced attendees were all able project over any noise!!

A magnificent seven visitors joined us for this month’s meeting.  It was great to see Jeet Bamrah from Falcon Legal, Chantell Harris from Belvoir Estate Agents and Glynis Johnsone-Forde from Tinyfins swim school back for second visits.  While Tans 2 You’s Sue Frampton,  Ovens Bright’s Debora Hiscock, Partylite’s Rosalind Wright and Beverley Williams from Beverley Therapies were all first time guests.

Our extended presentation was brought to us by our charity representative, Michelle  Simpson from Chartwell Cancer Trust.  Michelle spoke very passionately about all the good work that the Trust does and the extent of the support it provides to NHS cancer treatment in the borough.  She was also able to tell us more about the various ways in which we can support Chartwell from wing-walking (good luck to Fiona and Julia!!) to more pedestrian fundraising efforts that might suit the less adventurous!!
Quote of the Month?

“I’ll do a wing walk for Chartwell,”
Fiona and Julie made a brave offer.  And we all heard them!!
