8th January 2014

It was a great start to 2014 with both a fantastic turnout – 26 round the table – and Rachael Ross from Purely Peppermint providing us with a lively presentation about organising your home office.  She recommended developing a Home Office Manual incorporating the policies and procedures for your business just as would happen in the Corporate world.  Her top tips included setting boundaries about when it suits you to work (as we discovered – that might be different for everyone) and trying to stick to them.  Even if that means re-educating friends and family!

In addition to Rachael, it was lovely to have four guests join us for the January meeting – Sarah-Rose Graham of Metrobank, Jane Kirton of Jane Kirton Consulting, Rachel Molina of Rachel Molina Photography and Fiona Ross of Business Junction.  We hope to welcome them all back for a second visit.
Quote of the Month?

“Well, how do I follow that?!”  Denise from Damson Belle at having to deliver her 60 seconds after Sherry Bailey’s very impressive poem. Don’t feel too sorry for her  - that’s how we all usually feel at having to speak after her!
